Spring preparation and fall cleanup can often be a daunting task.

Let Leaves & Petals help with preparing your gardens for the upcoming season.

Spring cleanup can include raking out winter debris, adding fertilizer or fresh nutrient dense soil, pruning, splitting perennials, edging, planting - we can get your garden off to a great start for you!

During fall cleanup we can cut back your soft perennials, wrap or cover your sensitive shrubs and roses, rake away fall leaves (or leave them for our pollinator friends!) and plant bulbs for a pop of colour for you to look forward to during the winter months!

Whatever your garden needs to wake up or rest for the winter, we can help with.

Garden Restoration

Watching a garden transform and a client's eyes light up as they reconnect with their natural space is what it’s all about for us.

If your perennial beds have been neglected for a few years, or you have inherited an abandoned garden from a previous home owner, we can restore what was and make it what it could be once more.

Mulching

Providing your garden with a thick layer of organic matter has a multitude of benefits: It helps keep weeds at a minimum, maintains moisture levels in the soil, and adds more nutrients to the garden over time.

Our mulching services include an initial consultation to establish how much you’ll need, order and delivery of the mulch, garden preparation, edging, mulch application and of course, a thorough cleanup upon completion of the job.
Our team works fast (no really, super fast!) and efficiently.

You’ll be enjoying the fresh look of mulched gardens in no time.

Perennial Splitting

Your beautiful healthy garden has grown too big!

We can help you thin out your beds by splitting over grown perennials and replanting them in a different space, or potting them for you to pass on to friends, family, or neighbours.

We often donate unwanted perennials to community gardens or retirement complexes as part of our volunteer work, so let us know if you have any leafy friends you can donate!

  • The gardeners' ever growing nemesis. Weeds are just undesired plants that have taken root where we don’t want them. There is a right way to weed, and wrong way to weed.
We do it the right way - by digging deep with our trowels to ensure weeds are pulled up by the root.
    Let us at ‘em!

  • Nothing makes a garden pop quite like a defined edge.
Let our team create that definition for you!

  • Small shrubs, roses, lavender, boxwoods, spirea... the list goes on and they all need a haircut once in a while! Our team knows when to prune, how to prune, and why to prune. Leave it to us, by either including pruning into your maintenance package or having us by for a one time trim!

  • “Why won’t this grow here!” is one of our most common questions from homeowners. The answer is usually one of these two answers, “wrong soil” or “wrong light”.

Leaves & Petals can assess your soil and help you amend it to better suit your garden's needs.

For the love of your Garden

  • It’s fall. Those gorgeous old maple trees that provided you with so much shade in the hot summer months have lost their leaves and have left you with a mountain of work.
Let Leaves & Petals do the heavy raking, blowing, bagging, and removal of their debris.

    Your back will thank you.

  • Planting annuals, perennials, and small shrubs is always done with the utmost care and love for your plants.

We plant all species in our care with select fertilizer matched specifically to the plant to assist with establishing root growth for ideal performance.

  • You love your gardens and your planters but - you also love that week or two away at the cottage or traveling to see family and friends in the summer months. Let us swing by while you’re gone and give your beloved blooms a drink.
